We currently have no toilets in our house.
That is all.

10 Things
1. It looks like this week we are going to get the tile put down in our bathrooms! Hooray! I am very, very excited about this.
2. I woke up before 8:30 this morning even though I was up all night with Eily. I feel like supermom.
3. I have decided I will never have a child named Hardin.
4. Elaina's lips become transparent while she is sleeping.
5. Pandora gets me through the day.
6. If you saw my house you would definitely NOT think I am supermom. Yikes.
7. I don't enjoy laundry but I enjoy having clean clothes to wear so laundry I must do.
8. Jason is teaching at an art camp this week and it's pirate themed. He has to be a pirate today. While he doesn't want to dress up he is thankful for the excuse not to shave.
9. I've decided Elaina will be in preschool this year instead of kindergarten. I think later on down the road I will be glad for this decision. The schoolwork will stay the same but we will do it for two years instead of one.
10. I am planning on having a fantastic day! Why don't you do the same!!

Growing up and being aware
Elaina watched the video of herself playing the piano and then turned to me and apologized for speaking rudely to me. I'm jotting it down so I will remember.

What? I'm supposed to post occasionally?
We have been purging. I love to purge. I love to get rid of things and I love to clean and organize what's left behind. I moved Eily out of the purple room and turned the playroom into her room. Now, both bedrooms are simple and refreshing.
Daddy was home alone with the two younger girls Monday morning. It did not go well. This is one of 3 incidents that happened. I think this was the first. The other two involved chocolate pudding and s'mores.

At least I tried
When I first sat down here I had a lot of mental energy upstairs and I was going to post 2, if not 3, new posts. By the time these videos get through uploading I will be asleep. Maybe tomorrow?

An ordinary day
How wonderful it feels to have an ordinary day. I am finally somewhat caught up from Harmony Hill. It seems to always take several days to get everything put up and get back in the swing of things again. Plus, we have had all this construction going on.
The fence has been completed,
The fence has been completed,
and I'm not quite sure that I'm comfortable with the "we have privacy" version of my children.
Apparently, they are completely embracing the No One Can See Us So Let's Be Free mentality.
I also finally got around to making my headboard this week. I have had this idea for several months and it has finally come to fruition. First, I gathered a little collection of dishtowels to sew together. That took less than an hour. (The sewing, not the gathering.)
Then yesterday I went to Lowe's and bought a board and then I went to a fabric store and bought some foam.
That took all of 20 minutes. I then came home, spray glued the foam on and stapled the material around the board. That might have taken 30 minutes. Then Jason hung it for me and this is the finished product:
I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. I made curtains out of the dishtowels that aren't embroidered and as soon as I can remember to buy a curtain rod I will hang them on the window. It's taken me three years to do something to our room other than just paint the walls.
Since the fence is completed and the dog barrier has been put in place, Tod (or Toddy as Eily refers to him) is finally home with us!
I like to think Elaina is singing a song of rejoicing in this picture to depict how we all feel.
