Scads of pictures from Harmony Hill

Blech

Update: Number 5 just isn't going to happen.

I do not want to post this. If I post this list then I have to accomplish this list and I don't want to! But I must.
Wah. (I had to whine one more time.)

Ok. Here it is. This ugly list that helps me get things done.

  1. Pick up entire house. (Insert whine)
  2. Wash all PC products and get them organized for tomorrow.
  3. Start laundry. (insert major whine)
  4. Cook an actual meal for supper.
  5. Wake up (insert the largest whine your little ol' ears have ever heard)(maybe this one should be number one)

Here I go. I think that I should drink some coffee this morning.

Coming Tomorrow....

A list. I need it. I need it bad. Last night when Jason and I walked in at 12:30 the house was basically spotless. And as of tonight? Well, let's just say, not so much. So tomorrow I am back to the babysitting and back to the daily schedule and hopefully I can whip this place back into the shape it was last night.

Back me up?

Thanks.
I need you and the shame that you create in me.

No rest for the weary

We are home for about a week and a half. We are staying home from church this morning to regroup and recoup. We will go to the evening services and I am really, really looking forward to that. I will try and get myself back to regular posting starting tomorrow. I hope everyone had a lovely week.

Leaving again but under less pleasant circumstances

We found out last night that Jason's biological father passed away yesterday afternoon. We will be leaving today for TN and I'm not sure when we will be back as the funeral plans have not been made.

And we're off!

We are headed for Texas, or cactus as Elaina keeps calling it. She asked me yesterday if we were going to be cowboys when we get there and I told her no and she said, "But there's horses in cactus!" She might be a little disappointed when we first arrive.

It is amazing how much stuff is required for a trip like this with 3 little girls. I had no idea there would be this much luggage. Tent, tarp, chairs, beds and bedding, clothes, bath items, books, and on and on and on.

Some of you I'll see today or tomorrow. As for the rest of you, I'll be back next week!!!!

So long partners,

The princess, her sister and the scooter

Here we meet "The Princess and the Pauper" and her sister, Miss CheesySmile.

Miss CheesySmile sees something amazing. Something she wants.

The Princess and the Pauper doesn't waste time in looking. She goes out to investigate.

"So, what the horsepower on this little thang?"
Got lots to do today. I will try to get a post up sometime tomorrow but no promises. I have some pics that will make a good post or two I just can't seem to find the time to do it.

Don't leave me. I might wail.

Feeling Groovy and a Video

I think I use the word "groovy" too much on this blog. Hmm.

Well, we are over it for the moment. Jason was throwing up all day yesterday and he feels a lot better today but his stomach is sore. Mom said the same thing about her stomach. Oh wait! I didn't tell you that Mom got the bug from us? I wonder how I could have forgotten to do that. Interesting.

Bonny, you asked what Harmony Hill is. Welllllll.... It's great!! It's a week long camp in Texas that has singing/music classes and Aunt Melissa teaches the young class. Elaina and Claire are going to love it. She has the funnest methods to learn the shape notes. Each note has a name and a little story that goes along with it.

Eily isn't walking yet which is a bummer because I was really hoping that she would start walking before we left. But I'm sure we will be fine and still have a marvelous time. On the last night there is a performance by each class and I will try to remember to take my old digital camera and get a video of the girls singing. I'm sure you will all be on pins and needles waiting for that post.

I am having a Pampered Chef party this Thursday night. Everybody is welcome.

Adios,

Hello World

I'm starting to feel a little better. Thank you for all your sweet comments. Poor Elaina handled this a lot better than I did.

Mom came over yesterday evening to take Eily to the dr and then she stayed until 8 or 9. I was asleep so I'm not sure exactly how late it was when she left.

Thank you, Mom.

Today has been a day of blahness, baby-taking-care-of, house cleaning and laundry catching up. I have also watched several episodes of The Office and part of Pride and Prejudice. Not the Kiera Nightly version. The good version starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. Ah, Colin Firth. I love your sideburns. And your smoldering stares. And your... well, this could go on forever.

Hopefully I will be back up to full speed again tomorrow. Adam and his family have left for their vacation and he is going to let me use his car for the whole week. Hooray!! Transportation!!

One week until we leave for HH!! (Actually, I need to verify that with the driver. Um, Kathryn? Are you there? I want to leave Saturday. Ok? Call me. Please.)

Happy Saturday, everybody!

June 4th and nothing important to say

I think I'm going to dye my hair red. I've been thinking about it for a while now. Not an orange red. Just a nice brownish-red.

The girls have hit the change-your-outfit-a-thousand-times-because-we-are-really-in-to-dressing-up stage. This morning, Elaina has already been a ballerina, Belle and "the princess and the pauper." That last one is a dress that is colonial style and the girls decided it was the princess and the pauper dress so they have to say the full name every time. It tickles me.

I have been dreaming of a clothesline but since our house is on the market I don't see the point of having one built.

Harmony Hill is sooooo close!!!! Hooray!! I am really excited about taking the girls this year. I skipped out last year because Eily was only a month old.

The girls have started their summer reading program with the Library. Last night we read 3 of the 5 books that we need to read before next Tuesday. I am loving this part of parenting. The girls are really starting to get old enough to be a whole lot of fun and not just a whole lot of work.

Signing off so that I can go pick up the 5 princess dresses on the living room floor,

I have the tiredness.

What a night.

It started out nice enough. I made a chicken dish that I had seen in a Rachael Ray magazine. You had to guess the measurements so I was really enjoying trying it out. It makes me feel like a better cook if I can make something turn out right without knowing the exact measurements. Jason loved it. Said it was one of his favorite meals. Therefore, I consider it a success. Plus, all three girls ate it. If Elaina eats something it becomes a permanent recipe in this household.

As soon as the older two girls and I scarfed down a bowl of the afore mentioned supper, I told Claire to run to the potty so that she wouldn't pee on herself at Alli's ballgame and we packed ourselves in Jason's car and headed off.

Oh wait.
First I changed Eily's poop diaper.

Oh yeah,

and I forgot to mention that as soon as Claire reached the bathroom, she peed all over the floor. So after we cleaned that mess up, we left.

It smells really good here. :)

The ballgame was fun. Alli's team was ahead when we left and we left right before the last inning was over. I assume they won.
While we were at the game, you know, about thirty minutes after we had left the house, Claire peed all over herself again. Just stood right there in front of us all and let it go. Of course I had no clean panties so I made her sit in her little chair and just be.

Once we were in the car I had her strip from the waist down and then I buckled her in. She fell asleep on the way home so Jason met us at the front door with some clean Curious George underwear and I held her up, he slipped them on and we just put her in the bed. Claire is the hardest one to get down at night so we decided to enjoy the sleeping child and forgo the needed bath.

Eily was already asleep and Elaina protested a minute or two but basically went to sleep pretty fast.

Jason and I were alone - figuratively- and it was only 9:15pm.

It was Amazing.

So we got in bed and started watching a movie that Jason had rented. ( It turned out to be horrible and we didn't make it more than 10 minutes into it before we replaced it with something else. Do not rent Coming to Town.) It was nice to have some time to ourselves....

and then at 9:30 Elaina started crying. I went in to tell her to hush and the strong, disgusting smell of vomit greeted my nostrils. Bleech!

And so that's what we did the rest of the night. Elaina continued to throw up every 30-40 minutes until 4:30 in the morning. She was so pitiful.

She seems to feel fine this morning but I am on my last leg and I have the 2 other girls that I babysit here today.

I might be mean. I am making no promises. I need my sleep.
